Linda Boff, John Hayes, David Lubars, Alex López Negrete, Raja Rajamannar, Lisa Sherman, Rishad Tobaccowala, Susan Wojcicki and Mars will be honored in April
The American Advertising Federation (AAF) has announced eight executives to be inducted into the 2025 Advertising Hall of Fame:
Linda Boff, CEO of Said Differently and former global chief marketing officer at General Electric
John Hayes, former chief marketing officer at American Express
David Lubars, former chief creative officer at BBDO Worldwide and Chairman of BBDO North America
Alex López Negrete, president, CEO and co-founder of Lopez Negrete Communications
Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer at Mastercard
Lisa Sherman, president and CEO of The Ad Council
Rishad Tobaccowala, former chief strategist and growth officer at Publicis Groupe
Susan Wojcicki, CEO emeritus of YouTube
Wojcicki will be posthumously awarded the David Bell Award for Industry Service, “which honors extraordinary, unique contributions and service to the advertising industry as a whole,” according to the AAF.
Wojcicki died in August following a two-year battle with lung cancer.
“Susan was a visionary, and it was that vision that helped create and empower the creator economy,” said Kim Kelleher, chief commercial officer at AMC Networks and chair of this year’s council of judges.
The AAF named Mars Inc. as its corporate inductee for its iconic campaigns for brands such as M&M’s and its adoption of emerging technologies, Kelleher said.
Judges looked for various facets of advertising expertise and accomplishment in the AAF’s 74th class of inductees, Kelleher said.
“It can be very broad and national in scope or more individualistic where you’re looking to create some kind of regulation through the media industry that allows for more transparency in measurement,” she said.
The induction ceremony and gala dinner will be held on April 24, 2025, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
